Overview

A short, easy safari from Arusha: elephants among baobabs in Tarangire and a full day inside the Ngorongoro Crater.

This is our most popular short safari and a good choice if you have limited time before a climb or a beach stay. You spend the first afternoon in Tarangire National Park, known for large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, then a full day on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, where lions, buffalo and — with patience — black rhino share one of Africa’s most famous landscapes.

You travel in a shared safari vehicle with a maximum of seven guests, each with a window seat. Nights are spent at a comfortable lodge in the green Karatu highlands, between the two parks.

Highlights

  • Elephant herds and baobab trees in Tarangire
  • A full day inside the Ngorongoro Crater
  • Chance to see black rhino, lion and flamingo
  • Lodge nights in the cool Karatu highlands
  • Window seat guaranteed for every guest
