Northern safari circuit

Overview

Tarangire is known for its ancient baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa. During the dry season the Tarangire River draws animals from far around, making it one of the best parks in Tanzania from July to October.

It is also excellent for birds, with more than 500 species recorded, and it is much quieter than the Serengeti.
