Planned for families with children from about five years old. Driving days are broken up with picnic stops and viewpoints, and every lodge has a pool for the afternoon. Your guide carries a children’s animal checklist and binoculars for young eyes.

The route visits Tarangire, the central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater in a private vehicle, so you set the pace — a long lunch, an early night or an extra hour with a lion pride.

    Pick-up from your Arusha hotel. Afternoon game drive in Tarangire, then check in to a lodge with a pool overlooking the park.

    Across the highlands to the SerengetiSerengeti

    Drive through the Ngorongoro highlands with a stop at the crater viewpoint and a picnic on the way. Game drive into the central Serengeti in the afternoon.

  3. Jour 3
    Serengeti game drivesSerengeti

    Morning and afternoon drives in the Seronera area, famous for lions, leopards and cheetahs. Rest at camp during the midday heat.

    Serengeti to the crater highlandsNgorongoro

    A final morning drive, then return to the highlands. Arrive in time for a swim and an early dinner.
